For today entry I will share with you guys how to go to Singapore if you are at Johor Bahru. There are four simple ways you can go through :)

1. Taking bus to Singapore


Taking bus to Singapore is also a convenient option because the frequency of buses is getting higher compared to years ago. Moreover, more comfortable buses are offering cheaper fares and covering more routes than ever before.
There are few advantages of taking buses from Johor Bahru to Singapore such as, it's very cheap and you don't need to pre-booking the tickets. Moreover, you can socialize with co-passengers and make new friends. This means you will never be lonely. 
But, there are also disadvantages of taking taking buses from Johor Bahru such as, if you are travel with luggage, it can be tiring to carry luggage with you throughout the journey. The buses also does not bring you directly to the destination. Next, you need to be alert to get on the right bus on time or you waste time waiting for the next bus arrival. Moreover, you share ride with a lot of strangers and during peak hours, you’ll be squeezed and could not even get a seat. The most time consuming travel by buses is at each immigration checkpoint, you need to get off the bus with all belongings. Clearing customs could take 2-3 hours at peak hours so you could not enjoy and relax on the bus. Travel mood may be spoiled.

You can now travel from JB Sentral to Woodlands CIQ by taking a shuttle train named KTM Shuttle Tebrau. This shuttle train is established in 1 July 2015, mainly to avoid traffic jam and makes crossing borders more efficient and consume less time. With just 5 minutes, the shuttle train with 320 seats in total will arrive at Woodlands CIQ safe and sound. Make your booking as early as possible because the demand is extremely high!

Advantages of taking shuttle train from Johor Bahru to Singapore are the ticket price is cheap which is RM5 for single trip.  You also can save time and avoid traffic jam. It also have comfortable seat. This is the fastest way to JB Sentral from Singapore. 
There are also some disadvantage of taking shuttle train from Johor Bahru to Singapore which are the train only bring you to Woodland CIQ, you need to find another way to destination. It is also low frequency, approximately once per hour and there are only limited tickets and the tickets sold out very fast. 
In my opinion, the train is recommended for:
  • Business travellers
  • Travellers who wish to reach Singapore in short time

4. Self-Driving


Due to flexibility, a lot of people do prefer road trip to Singapore, whereby they themselves drive the car. This could be best but what if the traffic is extremely crowded? Driver experience mental and physical weary and can no longer enjoy travelling experience to the fullest. 

Advantages of self-driving from Johor Bahru to Singapore are you can travel with ease which means you can go to any destination at your choice. Next, you can have time flexibility, you can change your itinerary whenever you want to. Last but not least, you can save time, you do not need to wait for public transport. 
Some of the disadvantage of self-driving from Johor Bahru to Singapore are you need to face traffic congestion at peak hours. Moreover, parking is hard to find and lastly you will feel tired after the journey. 
In my opinion, travelling with own car is recommended for:
  • Travellers who wish to go places that hardly accessible by public transport
  • Families with elderly and children
